I don't see a reason to add this category. A rip's mix name is rarely relevant to the rip itself, so grouping rips by mix name does not make sense to me. Doing so would be similar to grouping songs with common words in their titles.

I'm not very familiar with SpongeBob edited and how it differs from other YTP-like videos, so I can't say whether the meme belongs in a YTP category. However, I think a YTP or YTPMV category is long overdue. I suggest we have a separate discussion thread for that idea, though.

"Visual aids" is a very vague name, and the category itself is also vaguely defined. What do you mean by "images that show off hidden messages", and what is the category for? The files that used to be in the category were files that were used in rip pages and weren't rip images, but that category is way too vague.

That suggestion would be an enormous change, so that needs to have a separate discussion. I'm not completely opposed to the idea, but it would be a ton of work and extra hassle that I wouldn't be comfortable doing unless a majority of our editors feel enthusiastic about.

I agree with Ironwestie on this one, it would be pointless. A category for rips where the mix name is relevant to the rip would be a better idea, but even that doesn't sound particularly useful.

How about a category for rips that use nonexistent track names (or ambiguous ones, like "Main Theme" when it's a switcheroo rip)? That would cover cases where common track names are used arbitrarily by the channel. Problem is, this might overlap with other categories too much.

YTP and YTPMV as terms are inherently always going to be vague and subjective and are thusly inappropriate to use as the basis for a binary grouping system (aka a wiki category). Besides, the foundational techniques used in YTPs and YTPMVs are already covered by existing categories which they would heavily overlap with if they were made into unique categories.

A category for images used on rip pages that are not screenshots from the rip itself is actually a perfectly fine idea in my opinion. "Visual aids" was a bad name for it, though. If it can be given a better name, I'm all for its recreation.

I'm not against this idea at all really but it would be a hell of a lot of work to accomplish, even if the process was aided by bots. If we did do this I would like to propose that we also add links to "high quality rip" and "mix"/"version" in the lead section of each rip article.
