100 gecs is an experimental hyperpop duo formed by American artists Dylan Brady and Laura Les in 2015, they released their first EP, titled 100 gecs in 2016, however they would not really become popular until 2019, with the release of their debut album, 1000 gecs, which became a resounding success due to its catchy mix of various styles such as electropop and pop-funk. The duo's style popularized musical genres such as experimental pop and hyperpop in the music industry, with songs such as "money machine" and "stupid horse" being important pieces of the genre.
100 gecs' music style also spawned some memetic value, with memes surrounding the chaotic and abrasive style of their tracks, as well as the vocal editing on several of their songs.

Due to their popularity, 100 gecs' music has been used in multiple rips since the duo's boom in popularity, with their first appearances being during Season 4. The first rip to feature the duo's music was "Circus (Mix & Version Torture) - Five Nights at Freddy's", uploaded on August 7, 2019, since then they have appeared in other rips, prominently during Season 4 Episode 2.
Several rips featuring 100 Gecs are mashups based on the duo's hyperpop style, with elements of their songs being arranged as well. Find The LankyBox Morphs! is currently used as a joke game based on the similarity of 100 Gecs' vocal editing in their songs and the YouTuber duo LankyBox. This would build up to the release of 1000 box, an album full of these rips.

"money machine" was released on May 29, 2019 as 100 Gecs' debut single. The song is also one of the duo's most used tracks on the channel, frequently appearing in both mashups and medley rips. The first rip to feature the song was "Circus (Fuck Mix) - Five Nights at Freddy's", uploaded on November 14, 2019, the rip is also the second instance of 100 gecs on the channel. Some rips feature only the song's drum fill as it is one of its most recognizable elements.
