"11 Minutes of City Pop [Full Collab, VHS Rip]", initially titled "A Special Holidays Surprise!" before being renamed, is a high quality collaborative medley arrangement of various city pop songs. It is the King for Another Day Tournament's second place prize for Mariya Takeuchi.

Content[]

The video is a medley arrangement of various city pop songs.

Visuals[]

The animated visual depicts Mariya Takeuchi sitting in a vehicle driving to the right as it moves along a city skyline in the background. Lyrics for the arranged songs appear on screen when appropriate.

The video has been recorded onto and re-captured from a VHS tape,[1] and a VCR "plays" and "stops" the video at the beginning and end of the medley respectively.

The city skyline changes to match each featured song. In most cases, the city's color palette changes to match the cover of the track's associated album/single; for "Lum's Love Song", the city changes to reference the Urusei Yatsura title sequence that the song accompanied.

Audio[]

The collab begins with an unedited clip of the song "Plastic Love" by Mariya Takeuchi.

Trivia[]

  • Before it premiered, this fusion collab was advertised as "one last surprise" for the SiIvaGunner All-Star Winter Festival.[2] This ended up being untrue, as the Bandcamp release of Halation Celebration ~ 10th Anniversary Tribute to Snow halation was revealed the following day.
  • This video was originally not included in the SiIvaGunner's Original Fusion Collabs playlist.
  • There is a very minor error with the onscreen lyrics at the beginning of the "Midnight Cruisin'" segment: both Kingo Hamada and the singer in this collab sing the titular lyric in English, yet the captions write it in Japanese.
  • This is the second video in the SiIvaGunner's Original Fusion Collabs playlist that doesn't feature an mm2wood segment, the first being "Yule Log Medley Collab".
    • It is the first video in the playlist to not reference Wood Man in any way, as he was visually referenced in "Yule Log Medley Collab".

Notes[]

  1. Sam was originally credited between duuzu and Ethan; this credit has since been removed from both the description and Bandcamp page.
