In Five Nights at Freddy's, the primary objective is to survive a night shift in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza while avoiding death by the possessed animatronics in the establishment. When the in-game clock reaches 6 AM, the shift ends and a simplistic animation of the clock going from 5 to 6 AM plays. This animation is accompanied by a jingle consisting of sounds of children's cheers and a rendition of the Westminster Quarters, a traditional bell melody most well known for its use by the Elizabeth Tower in London, England. Like most other sounds in the game, these are stock sound effects made by Sound Ideas and purchased for use by Scott Cawthon.[1]
The jingle quickly became one of the most identifiable and popular sound effects in the game. It returned in the sequels Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and Five Nights at Freddy's 3, using a different rendition of the Westminster Quarters but still keeping the cheers. The jingle was then replaced with other sounds in all subsequent games in the series until Ultimate Custom Night, which also featured "High Score" tracks that used the first four notes of the sound at the beginning. Many Five Nights at Freddy's fan games have also used the jingle or different renditions of it, such as One Night at Flumpty's.
There are currently 11 rips of "6 AM" on the SiIvaGunner channel, including rips of fan games. The firstthreerips of the jingle, uploaded in June 2016, were actually switcheroos with tracks of the same title from corresponding games in the Animal Crossing series, which also had equivalent rips. These rips were used as pieces for the Reboot ARGs.
During the Five Nights at Freddy's 3 8th Anniversarychannel event, rips of the jingle were uploaded regularly, mostly at 6 AM PST each day alongside other end-of-night jingles from the Five Nights at Freddy's series and related fan games.
