April Fools' Day was celebrated by SiIvaGunner and the real GilvaSunner in 2017 with a channel event.

Summary[]

Much like the previous event, the two channels would swap something with each other. In this case, it would the upload schedule of each other.

Throughout the day, GilvaSunner uploaded random unedited video game music tracks every hour, mimicking SiIvaGunner's Season 1 upload schedule. In the middle of the day, from 12:19 PM PST to 12:21 PM PST, the SiIvaGunner channel did the opposite and used GilvaSunner's upload schedule, with the entire F-Zero soundtrack being uploaded to the channel simultaneously. In order to closer mimic GilvaSunner, these rips had no "channel description" line at the bottom, and were all mixless (with every previous F-Zero rip being renamed). They also weren't part of the Monochrome Pause as both the thumbnails and rips themselves were in color instead of black and white.

Later in the day, an elaborate 11-minute tribute to SiIvaGunner made by Kirbopher, featuring original singing by several people, was uploaded to SiIvaGunner. The F-Zero rips were released in the album Zero Grand Prix the following day.

Notes[]

  1. Since GilvaSunner otherwise only uploaded complete playlists of soundtracks, all of the videos here were the only GilvaSunner upload for their respective games (except Super Mario Bros. 2 and Kirby's Return to Dream Land). Because of this, the playlist line was absent from all rips (except "Underground (Beta Mix) - Super Mario Bros. 2", which was put into GilvaSunner's Super Mario Bros. 2 playlist. Note that this does not apply to "Cacti Area (Unused) - Kirby's Return to Dream Land".)
  2. When applicable, rips used metadata that matched prior SiIvaGunner rips of the game, with the following exceptions:
    • "Corneria - Star Fox" used a thumbnail of the logo on a white background, whereas SiIvaGunner used (and still uses) the title screen.
    • "Underground (Beta Mix) - Super Mario Bros. 2" used the "Beta Mix" subtitle, whereas the SiIvaGunner upload at the time used "Prototype"; the SiIvaGunner rip would later be renamed to "Underground (Beta Mix) - Super Mario Bros. 2".
    • "Butter Building - Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" used a thumbnail more in the style of the Super Smash Bros. 3DS thumbnails, rather than just the logo on a white background. This was acknowledged on SiIvaGunner in April 27, 2017 with an upload of a rip with the same metadata, but it was later renamed to "Butter Building - Super Smash Bros. 3DS" and moved to the Super Smash Bros. 3DS playlist.
    • "Wildlands - Yoshi's Island DS" had the composer listed as "Composer: Yutaka Minobe, Masayoshi Ishi", whereas both SiIvaGunner rips at the time had "Composer(s): Yutaka Minobe, Chamy Ishi". SiIvaGunner rips would later have their description updated to match GilvaSunner on May 24, 2024.
    • "Tal Tal Heights - The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening" lacked a colon in the game's title.
