April Fools' Day 2025 was celebrated on the SiIvaGunner channel with a channel event on April 1, 2025.

Summary[]

All rips uploaded on this day were of fake games that originate from other media, such as television shows, movies, YouTube videos, and real video games.

The avatar was changed to feature Dr. Andonuts' sprite from EarthBound, while the banner was changed to feature artwork of The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 from "Cognitive Dissonance - A SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story" (in place of the Smol Nozomi-style drawing used in the banner from National Doctors' Day onward). "Crossing Field - Sword Art Online" was set as the channel trailer and featured video.

An hour following the end of the event, a community post from Dr. Andonuts was published explaining the premise of the event from a lore perspective. The channel then took a break, except for one rip related to the Nintendo Direct that aired that day.

Rips uploaded[]

Rips were initially uploaded every 30 minutes. After the release of Initializing (First Boot) - Sburb, rips were uploaded every 15 minutes. After the release of Egoistic Flowers - Fumo: Like a Youkai, rips were uploaded every 10 minutes. Occasionally, the rate at which rips were uploaded sped up even faster than 10 minutes for short periods of time.

Goodness, I'm aware that April Fools' Day tends to be chaotic, and I had a lot to live up to in regard to the day's legacy. But that was... quite a lot. Of course, I have nobody to blame but myself. I intentionally chose this theme in particular as a form of... let's call it "immersion therapy". My thinking was that it would be beneficial for me to better acquaint myself with other worlds of fiction. "Worlds within worlds" may seem like a novel concept for this event, but more importantly it is pertinent to my own personal hangups... I am a fictional character. I've understood this for a while now. This understanding caused me a great deal of strife. But recently, I've attempted to internalize the notion that being fictional doesn't mean I matter any less. These games may not exist to you. Many of them do not exist to myself, either. And yet, they still exist to someone. Isn't that remarkable? I look upon the characters in these games and can't help but feel deep pangs of sympathy and envy all rolled into one. They may spend the rest of their lives never getting to learn about their true nature. Perhaps this innocence leads to a life of falsehood. Perhaps it is a blessing. Nevertheless, I felt it was my obligation to give all of these games a chance in the spotlight they may never have had otherwise. I hope you enjoyed the experience.

Trivia[]

Initially, all playlists from rips during the event were public but not accessible, which caused an overflow error on the Playlist section saying "This channel has no playlists.". To fix this, they were all made unlisted so they wouldn't appear in the section. They were later made relisted.
Following the end of the event, Keeby shared the thumbnails he worked on for it, including one for an unripped game called picross 2 (from EPIC GAMER COMIC).
The event's concept is the same as the one for April Fools' Day 2022 on the fan channel ThatOneTVGuy (besides, of course, featuring games instead of shows). The rip "Title Theme - Crying Breakfast Friends Smash Pro!" acknowledges this by referencing one of the rips from the ThatOneTVGuy event.
The Amazing Digital Circus is the only involved playlist to have been ripped prior to the event.
