Not to be confused with Baka Mitai - Yakuza 5.

"Baka Mitai - Yakuza 0" is a high quality rip of "Baka Mitai" from Yakuza 0.

Jokes[]

The rip is a jazz-style cover of "Baka Mitai" with a full karaoke-style music video.

At 1:49, the instrumental's tempo doubles.

To close out the rip, a short riff resembling the outro to "Snow halation" is played by the melodica. The audio of the rip is an arrangement by Buta Big Band, which includes wolfman1405 as the lead singer and director.

The video features a man in glasses posing and singing in places such as a park, a car, and around/inside a house. When the pace of the music increases, the man starts dancing energetically around a park, tapping rhythmically on the steering wheel while driving and using a swing set. Throughout the rip, several different pictures of people appear:

  • At 1:07, LL Cool J at the CBS, The CW & Showtime TCA Summer Press Tour Party 2012 briefly appears.
  • At 1:15, the Los Angeles Police Department faculty photograph of Christopher Dorner is used, in a manner similar to the various pictures used in the "Baka Mitai" minigame visuals.
  • At 2:40, LL Cool J at the 34th Annual PaleyFest in Los Angeles briefly appears.
  • At 3:07, a stretched out picture of Rondell Sheridan at the premiere of Meet The Fockers briefly appears.
  • At 4:40, the photograph of Christopher Dorner appears again, though this time in a manner referencing an image from r/ImGoingToHellForThis. At the end of the rip, the phrase "I'll watch the neighborhood, you watch the skies" appears, also referencing the image.
  • Right before the rip ends, the text changes to "BOTTOM TEXT".

The use of Christopher Dorner in place of the photos in the "Baka Mitai" minigame visuals likely is a nod to the previous covers of "Baka Mitai", as Dorner was the perpetrator of a series of shootings in 2013, and the two previous rips featured people relating to tragedies. The appearance of pictures of LL Cool J and Rondell Sheridan is most likely due to both of them appearing similar to Dorner.

History[]

Sometime around October 2024, the pictures of LL Cool J and Christopher Dorner were edited to have their faces blurred out. The reason for this is unknown, though it most likely was due to the rip "Baka Mitai - Yakuza 5" being taken down by YouTube, for violating their Terms of Service.

Trivia[]
