Five Nights at Freddy's

Five Nights at Freddy's is a video game developed and published by Scott Cawthon. The game utilizes production music and sound effects—rather than original music—with some of them being modified by Cawthon.

On SiIvaGunner, Five Nights at Freddy's is a joke game that is primarily used to publish switcheroos with remixes unrelated to video game music under the track "Circus".^[1] With 482 rips, it is currently the fourth most-ripped game on the channel, behind MOTHER 3, Undertale and SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day Tournament.

Overview[]

Five Nights at Freddy's is an independent survival horror game using limited point & click mechanics. The game became viral on YouTube thanks to several let's play channels featuring it and a dedicated fanbase trying to decode the story. This incredible success led Cawthon to launch a multitude of sequels/prequels to the game, each dropping new nebulous hints about the lore.

The player incarnates a freshly hired security guard at a place called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. You soon receive a phone call warning you that the restaurant's animatronic mascots - Bonnie, Chica, Foxy the Pirate and the titular Freddy Fazbear - are on the loose at night, that a programming malfunction will make them believe that you are a naked animatronic, and that they will attempt to catch you and stuff you into a robotic suit. You now have five nights to survive their assaults, but beware: the battery holding the door between you and them is limited...

The game actually has a very minimalist soundtrack, mostly using ambiance noises to develop a creepy atmosphere. The only two noteworthy pieces are "Circus", a festive music playing at random during the game, and a music box rendition of the "Toreador Song" from the opera Carmen. However, the series' fandom has popularized a number of songs; "Five Nights at Freddy's 1 Song" by The Living Tombstone has become the unofficial theme song for the series within fandom of the game.
