- Not to be confused with fake games or Category:joke pages.
Video games whose associated rips do not represent the actual game (e.g. switcheroos or nonexistent tracks). This situation usually occurs for licensed video games based on non-gaming media, with the rips using music from the source material rather than the actual game (e.g. Soundtrack Attack for Steven Universe rips). Songs not related to any particular franchise are usually placed under Five Nights at Freddy's, which is a special joke game used to post non-gaming rips under the track "Circus", although some songs (usually tracker modules) are listed under a title that forms a pun (e.g. Eek! The Cat).
Additionally, a few games are joke games because their rips mock the game itself rather than use its soundtrack (e.g. Mighty No. 9), and games are automatically considered joke games if they don't have any music in the first place (e.g. Pong).
