SiIvaGunner's uploads have descriptions that are almost always formatted in a specific way. This format is copied from GilvaSunner's channel, for the purpose of imitating it and confusing newcomers. The format is the following:
This category lists rips that have descriptions that deviate from the aforementioned format in some way, for the purpose of jokes or lore; note that deviations for the purpose of matching GilvaSunner abnormalities are usually not included in this category, and non-rip videos tend to do their own thing, so they aren't included either.
Below is an explanation of each part of the format, plus common/notable variations.
Music
Lists the original track's name; somewhat redundant due to also being featured in the title of the rip.
Variants
- In a small number of rips, it says "Song" for unknown reasons. This might just be an error. On at least 3 rips, it says "Name".
- "It's a me, Mario!" rips change it to "Text", due to those rips not being music. This is copied from GilvaSunner.
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, this listing was changed to "Shanty".
Composer
Lists the credit for the original track. This is often just listed as "Composer", even if the person listed isn't technically the composer, though there are many variations which are used to properly credit the creator(s) of the track. In some cases, such as with the Super Smash Bros. franchise, multiple variants will appear simultaneously on a rip to give credits to multiple roles.
Variants
- In many (but not all) rips where multiple people are listed, it will say "Composers".
- During the reboot, it was changed to "Composed by". This is also rarely used in other rips.
- "Arrangement" is usually used to list arranger(s) for the track. "Arranger", "Arrangers", and "Arranged by" are used rarely.
- "Performed by" is usually used to list performer(s) for the track. "Performance" is used rarely.
- "It's a me, Mario!" rips change it to "Voice", due to those rips not being music. This is copied from GilvaSunner.
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, it was changed to "Composarrr" (with a varying number of rs). "Arrranged by" and "Parrrformed by" also appeared on a few rips.
- A few rips have used "Composter" instead. The usage of this spelling is probably a typo, but it's more likely that the spelling is another reference to the VvvvvaVvvvvvr fanchannel, as multiple rips on that channel intentionally use that spelling for the description.
Playlist
Links to a corresponding playlist on the SiIvaGunner channel. This listing is the least prone to changes.
Variants
- In a small number of rips, the link will go somewhere else; i.e "MEGALOVANIA (Chex Mix) - Undertale" links to the SiIvaGunner2 channel.
- Most rips of Friday Night Funkin' and its mods replace this with a link to the mod files used in the rip.
- An error that appears in a few rips is that the link will go to a video in the playlist with the playlist attached, rather than directly to the playlist.
- Episodes of SilvaGunner: Rebooted and The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis contain two playlists, one for the fake game listed in the title, and one for SiIvaGunner ~The Story So Far~.
- Most Super Mario World rips change this to "Complete Playlist". This is copied from GilvaSunner.
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, it was changed to "Treasure Map".
Platform
Lists all the systems that the game could be played on. In most cases, this list excludes re-releases on Virtual Console and the like, opting for only the original release platform(s).
Variants
- In a lot (but not all) rips where multiple platforms are listed, it will say "Platforms".
- In a handful of rips, one platform listed will be something like "your blender", i.e. "Winter - Maroon GO". This is referencing to the video "How To Use Your Blender" by Poliwager.
- During the reboot, it was changed to "Available on".
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, it was changed to "Planks" (or "Plank" on 5 rips).
Please read the channel description.
This part of the description, also known as the catchphrase, does not originate from GilvaSunner (L) channel. Rather, it was introduced on the original GiIvaSunner (i) channel early on, along with an accompanying disclaimer within the channel description, due to accusations of plagiarism when rippers made personal, non-rip uploads of their rips. Ever since then, the phrase has become part of the channel's identity, and a bit of a minor meme in itself, so it is especially prone to changes. Usually, those just pertain to specific rips, but some events (mainly lore-related) will have a new variation of the phrase used for all its rips.
Variants
- During the reboot, the phrase was "Read the channel description, please." After the reboot, this was reverted to the usual phrase.
- All Season 2 rips use a variant of the phrase for lore reasons.
- During the first SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special event, the phrase was changed to random assortments of the letter Z to signify SiIvaGunner sleeping.
- During the beginning of The SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis, the phrase was changed to "I order you to read the channel description." to signify The Voice's takeover.
- During the Monochrome Pause, rips uploaded by Wood Man had "please read the channel description." in lowercase letters written as the phrase; this was later reverted to The Voice's variation.
- After the upload of [AUDIOLOG: 19:27, HEAD_OFFICE], the phrase became "Go-Go Gadget Channel Description!" to indicate Inspector Gadget's (actually Gadgetini Clone 2.0's) takeover.
- Later on, the phrase became "Please read the channel description for glorious profit." after President Haltmann overthrew The Voice as the channel's host.
- During the SilvaGunner: Rebooted 1st Anniversary incident in which Wood Man briefly sent the channel into an alternate post-reboot universe, the phrase was changed to "BALLIN!" to signify that Chad Warden (specifically an alternate version who seized the channel and killed everyone) was in charge of the channel; this was later reverted to Haltmann's version of the phrase.
- During Wood Man's Debut 1st Anniversary, the phrase became his iconic catchphrase, "nice," which was again reverted to Haltmann's phrase.
- During The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special: Part II, where Wood Man in his 8-Bit Beast form assumed brief control over the channel, the phrase became "please read the nice and spooky channel description. oooooooo nice." instead.
- During Christmas 2017, some rips had "Please read the channel description for glo-ho-ho-rious profit!" instead, referring to Haltmann's attempts at cashing in on Christmas season. The rips uploaded during 12 Days of Ripmas had unique phrases along the lines of "On the [X]th (with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd included) day of Christmas, [Y] gave to me..."
- Starting with Season 3 onward, the overarching lore-related variants were ditched due to The SiIva A.I. taking over, though event-specific variants have continued to be used.
- During the start of Season 3, glitches with the SiIva A.I. led to some rips using phrases from those eras of the channel. The incorrect descriptions were apparently later fixed.
- During the second Inspector Gadget takeover, the catchphrase from the first takeover was re-used.
- During the Nostalgia Critic takeover, the phrase became "Read the channel description so I don’t have to." This is a reference to Nostalgia Critic’s intro, "I remember it so you don’t have to."
- As the winner of the King for a Day Tournament, Unregistered HyperCam 2 assumed control of the channel for 27 hours. The phrase used was "don't forget to sub and rate 5 stars, thx for watching" to fit the theme of early YouTube culture.
- During The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special: Part III, the phrase became "Please read the channel description... If you dare..."
- Just like Unregistered HyperCam 2, DJ Professor K also took over the channel after winning the King for Another Day Tournament. During this takeover, the phrase became "Thank you for tuning in to JET SET RADIO! And y'all better not forget about that channel description, ight?"
- During the Adult Swim Night event, the phrase was changed to "Please tune into the channel description." except for the last rip uploaded during the event, where it was changed to "The Channel Description is your enemy.", a reference to the The Dawn Is Your Enemy sign off bumper.
- During The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special: Part CarnIVal, the phrase became "Come one, come all to read the channel description!"
- During the Putin Takeover, the phrase was changed to "Please be read by the channel description.", as a reference to the "In Soviet Russia" meme, as well as a callback to the description of the rip "Type A - Tetris".
- During the Gabe Newell Takeover, the catchphrase was changed to "Please let me know what you think after you've had a chance to read the channel description.", with "Please let me know what you think" being a common Gabe Newell-related meme.
- During The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special: Part V, the catchphrase was changed to "Abandon all hope, ye who read the channel description.", a play on the quote "Abandon all hope, ye who enter." from Dante's Inferno.
- During the GilvaSunner Deletion, the catchphrase was removed from the description except for the last rip. These were to pay tribute to the original GilvaSunner.
Others
- Game: - A couple games ripped on the real GilvaSunner channel have included a "Game" field, and these cases are usually copied by the SiIvaGunner channel. Similar to "Music", this is redundant due to already being specified in the title.
- Franchise:
- Original Game: This appears in the Super Smash Bros. Brawl playlist. Since the Brawl soundtrack is mostly comprised of remixes, this lists the source of the music being remixed. These are copied from GilvaSunner (with some errors, like listing "Flat Zone 2" as being from Game & Watch Gallery).
- Ripped by: - On GilvaSunner's channel, the Super Mario 3D Land soundtrack wasn't ripped by Gilva himself but another YouTuber named NintenDaan, so the descriptions included a link to his channel. In all "Title Screen" rips, this is copied but with the channel link being changed to a joke one.
- Additionally in the tribute rips: "Parker Lake - Ultimate Angler / StreetPass Fishing" and "Showdown with the Ultimate Chimera - MOTHER 3", the author is included with credit.
- [Archived by: MPH] - This appears in the description of several Season 1 and Season 2 videos, mainly on rips of fake games. It indicates that the video is included in the Haltmann's Archives playlist, with "MPH" standing for Max Profitt Haltmann.
