Sonic Hysteria is an upcoming video game developed by the Temporacle Team. The game's primary composer is NicoCW. The project was originally a fan-made album before being developed as a video game.
Overview[]
From 2017 to 2019, NicoCW worked on a fan album in tribute to the Sonic the Hedgehog's classic era—both handheld and home console—titled Sonic Hysteria. It features electronic arrangements from past titles and new compositions for self-made zones. It was put on hold in October 2019, only to become a cancelled project later that year.[2] On January 2, 2021, a group of fans called Team Temporacle took over the project with authorization from NicoCW and turned it into a fan game.[3] The game is conceptualized as a hypothetical sequel to Sonic Mania. As of April 1, 2021, the project features NicoCW himself and new composers, like SuperMusicZone for the arrangement of Toxic Cave Act 2.[4]
NicoCW stated in 2021 that he was not responsible for the SiIvaGunner rips of the game, despite having briefly contributed to the GiIvaSunner channel.[5]
