The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is a video game developed and published by Nintendo on Nintendo 64 in 2000. The game's composer is Koji Kondo. The game was also released on GameCube in 2003, on the Wii's Virtual Console service in 2009, on the Wii U's Virtual Console service in 2016 and received an enhanced remake on the Nintendo 3DS, titled The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, in 2015.

Nicolas Cage mod

On June 23, 2016, YouTuber Criken released a mod for Majora's Mask in which many textures are replaced with Nicolas Cage's face.^[1] The mod had first been announced on March 9, 2013 as The Legend of Cage: Beneath the Mask.^[2] Interestingly, the first gameplay video of the mod (uploaded the same day as the trailer) was blocked by Nintendo on copyright grounds.^[3] On July 11, 2016, Vinesauce Vinny streamed his playthrough of the game.^[4]

Because of this mod, several rips of the game have samples of Nicolas Cage's voice from movies he is featured in. The first rip was "Clock Town, First Day (Alternate Mix) - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask", uploaded July 19, 2016. This joke was started by kyokuP and was taken over by Grambam36 in 2018, though since 2021 other rippers have also contributed. Most of the rips using this joke have the mix name "OST Version".
