Chaze the Chat is the creator and former head manager of the SiIvaGunner channel.

History[]

Around January 2015,[1] Chaze started listening to mashups made by other people such as BotanicSage and Triple-Q and was inspired to begin making his own mashups after listening to Super Style Oppas, an album released by Triple-Q on April 9, 2015.[2] Chaze's first mashups were created for Triple-Q's collaborative two-part album GANGNAMCORE 2, released in July 2015 and he continued to create more mashups and audio memes from there on.

Chaze's first creation that led to the inception of SiIvaGunner was a melody swap of the Wild Pokémon Battle music from Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire and "Meet the Flintstones". This song was initially titled "new pokemon battle music LEAKED" and was posted on January 1, 2016 on Chaze's SoundCloud account.[3] According to Chaze, he created this song to upset his friends, but somehow people liked it.[2][4]

A few days later, after being inspired by the many LittleKuriboh impostor channels that appeared on YouTube after the success of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series around 2006 to 2008, Chaze came up with the idea to create a YouTube channel that would also pose as another popular channel, but the channel would upload videos with actual effort put into them, "so even if it's not the thing you expected, it was something good."[5] And so, Chaze created the GiIvaSunner YouTube channel on January 9, 2016. The first rip that was uploaded to the channel was "new pokemon battle music LEAKED", under the name "Wild Pokémon Battle - Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire".

After that, MtH wanted Chaze to upload a song of her own, which became "Route 110 - Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire", effectively making Chaze the leader of the team after that point. He contributed 13 rips to the first album, but censored his name on the aforementioned "Wild Pokémon Battle" rip to keep his status as channel founder a secret. It wasn't until the Season 1 Finale in the video "the nutshack theme but the first nutshack is replaced with me ending the channel" where Chaze revealed that he was the founder of the channel.

After that, he contributed a few dozen rips each to Season 2 and Season 3, and made in-person appearances on the channel to update fans, especially during Season 4. His name appeared at least once on every album up to The SiIvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special Collection '17-'19, and he had at least one track on each album referencing Maroon 5, a band he is known for liking. From season 2 onwards, most of those Maroon 5 rips were placed under the fake game Maroon GO.

He continued contributing to the channel until August 2019 when he disappeared from the internet. The circumstances behind this leave are not known, but the rest of backroom have assumed that the stress of the channel and the King for Another Day Tournament was too much, leading to him taking a break. Since his disappearance, MtH has assumed the role of the channel's head manager.[6]

On December 31, 2020, the last channel upload he was directly involved in making was released, "I Wanna Thank Me - A SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story". He contributed to managing the project before his disappearance, and it was finished afterwards.
