• The catchphrase refers to one of Elder Xelpud's lines from the game, in which he mentions the chataracter Ashguine from the MSX game of the same name. "Curse of IRON PIPE" was remade into "Curse of Ocean" in La-Mulana's remake due to sounding too similar to a song from Ashguine II.
