"Dance Mr. Funnybones" is a track composed by PuffballsUnited for Fleeing the Complex, a point-and-click adventure game in the Henry Stickmin series published by Innersloth. During the "Convict Allies" path in the game, in which Henry Stickmin and Ellie Rose escape the Wall together, the two reach a storage room with two guards after escaping the transfer cell through the vents. The game presents four options to get past the guards, one of which is "Distract", in which Henry begins dancing as "Dance Mr. Funnybones" loops in the background. The guards are initially confused, but decide to join the dance, then Ellie shrugs and joins in as well. The characters continue dancing in unison until the game declares a fail and the player must retry to progress.
Fleeing the Complex was later remastered in The Henry Stickmin Collection, a compilation of remastered versions of the Henry Stickmin games, including a new game titled Completing the Mission. During the "Triple Threat" path in this game, in which Henry, Ellie, and Charles Calvin prevent the Toppat Clan from launching a rocket into the Earth's orbit, the game presents three options for Henry and Ellie to get past the rocket's cafeteria, one of which is "Diversion". When chosen, Henry begins performing the "Distract" dance from the previous game, set to a trap remix of "Dance Mr. Funnybones", causing all Toppat Clan members nearby to also start dancing, letting Henry and Ellie walk by and progress further.
After the release of Completing the Mission, Henry's dance in the "Distract" and "Diversion" animations, along with "Dance Mr. Funnybones", became a popular Internet meme known as the "Distraction Dance" or "You Have Been Distracted", consisting of editing Henry into other videos and images or animating other characters performing the dance. On June 17, 2022, as part of an official collaboration with Innersloth's Among Us, "Dance Mr. Funnybones" was added to Fortnite as the track for the "Distraction Dance" emote available in the game's shop.
