Deltarune

Deltarune is a video game developed, published, and composed by Toby Fox. It is a major meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.

Overview[]

Deltarune is a spin-off of Undertale that reuses many of its world elements and game mechanics, but takes place in a different continuity with new settings and story. Like Undertale, it is a traditional RPG mixed with bullet-hell elements and the possibility to spare all the enemies in the game, with the player's decisions impacting the game's plot.

The game mainly follows the protagonist Kris, a human and Lightner, who discovers and explores magical dimensions known as "Dark Worlds" accompanied by Susie, a monster and fellow Lighter, and Ralsei, a Darkner native to the Dark Worlds, along with many other characters.

Chapter 1 was released on October 31, 2018, and Chapter 2 would later be released on September 17, 2021. The game is currently planned to receive a paid release on Steam along with the release of Chapters 3 and 4 on June 5th, 2025. There are no confirmed release dates for any future chapters.

Rips[]

Being a spin-off of Undertale, Deltarune has naturally received quite a bit of attention on the SiIvaGunner channel. Just like Undertale, the game's leitmotifs and themes have been used as joke fodder in standard rips in much the same way as the Undertale soundtrack.

The first appearence of the game on the channel was the rip "Main Theme - Elections Simulator 2018", which used the track "The Door" as background music. The first rip to use one of the game's tracks as a joke was "Eternal Shrine Maiden (Website MIDI Version) - Touhou: Highly Responsive to Prayers", which was uploaded on November 12, 2018. Since then the game has been referenced frequently in rips, usually in the form of melody changes.
