Dick's Retribution was a channel event on the SiIvaGunner channel celebrating the sixteenth anniversary of The Nutshack in 2023.

Theme

The event had a lengthy setup, starting on February 22, 2023, with a slightly visible Tito Dick head on the lighthouse, in a similar manner as in mid-2016. This head would later get more visible each week, with him edited to be angry during the April Fools' Day 2023 event after the release of the video "Careless Announcement (Beta Mix)".

Starting on April 20, Tito's head would start to fade away with each new upload, as well as the appearance of the characters of Ed and Bob Saget from the The Nutshack and the number "425", in the style of the countdown from The Nutshack episode "420". Starting on April 25, Tito's head would reappear although edited with a grin as well as Bob Saget and Ed fading away. The banner would also start gaining a red tint at 4:00 PM PDT.

However, at 4:25 PM PDT, the banner would change to appear as if the takeover was actually for Butt-Ugly Martians, in reference to the album GilvaSunner's Highest Quality Video Game Rips Volume 5 (Beta Mix). This would only last 5 minutes before the banner switched back. At 5:00 PM PDT, Tito's face obscured the whole banner as well as a link included under his face for the rip "Gallery - Scotch® 2: Double Sided Tape". At 6:00 PM PDT, the channel banner changed to display the following:

• Text on the top left reading "a> Dick's Retribution, Challenge: Active, Current Status: Pretty Nuts"
• Blurred out text reading ""THE FUSION OF COMEDY, URBAN CULTURE AND ANIME IS SICK!"" taken from the now defunct banner for the @thenutshack YouTube channel

At 7:00 PM PDT, the banner changed one last time to the September 2016 banner, with the addition of a very transparent version of the Grinch Takeover's banner visible and a faded image of Patty Martin from Lucky Star visible on the left.

During the event, SiIvaGunner made a community post of a gif of a clip from the The Nutshack episode "Chode/Choad Warrior" which features some of the characters walking towards the viewer. Also during the event, the @GiIvaSunner Twitter account made a post for a post on the giivasunner TikTok account which is of the rip "Main Theme - The Nutshack: The Game" and a retweet of a 2018 tweet from @BossToesNump that reads "RT IF YOU STILL FUCK WITH THE NUTSHACK‼️‼️‼️".
