Haruka Amami is a character from THE iDOLM@STER series and the personification of the "GO MY WAY!!" meme.

Description[]

Haruka Amami (天海春香, Amami Haruka)[1] is an idol produced by the fictional talent agency 765 Production in THE iDOLM@STER series. Debuting on the arcade game, Haruka is not only considered the protagonist and face of the 765PRO ALLSTARS console titles, as well as the main red representative of the branch, but widely considered to be the primary mascot of THE iDOLM@STER series as a whole. She has made appearances in every console game that features 765 Production, THE iDOLM@STER Million Live!, and THE iDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days.

Similar to other idols from the franchise, Haruka has a selection of "image songs" (i.e.: songs made for her) and "personal songs" (i.e.: image songs that she likes) often chosen by players for her to preform. One of her four personal songs, "GO MY WAY!!", would become the most popular out of them.

Rips[]

The first reference to Haruka was on the cover of 765 GRAND DAD. She later appeared inside the lighthouse during the Reboot, replacing Nozomi just as "GO MY WAY!!" replaced "Snow halation". She then made a cameo in "Title Theme & Ending - 7 GRAND DAD" during the "GO MY WAY!!" melody, turning when she sees the idol Nozomi from the rival franchise Love Live! passing next to her.

For her birthday on April 3, 2017 (which happened during the Monochrome Pause) a series of rips featuring "GO MY WAY!!" but also several more obscure songs performed by her or related to her were uploaded by Wood Man (who was in charge on the channel at the time) though one day late. It started on her actual birthday date with "GO MY WAY!! - THE iDOLM@STER" (the first actual "GO MY WAY!!" rip on the channel) and ended two days later with "GO MY WAY!! (M@STER Version) - THE iDOLM@STER", both rips being uploaded by The Voice as a way to officially end the pause.

In The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis[]

Haruka was one of the Figments materialized into the real world by The Voice Inside Your Head in "Prologue", before being immediately taken by the Patrol-Bots. Her usefulness for The Voice as the singer of the "GO MY WAY!!" meme prevented her to share the cruel fate of most "Weeaboo Anime Bullshit" such as her fellow iDOLM@STER idols the Cinderella Girls or µ's' idols (minus Nozomi).

She eventually reappeared in "Loves the Ladies", The Voice masquerading her as Susie to calm Haltmann's fears, interpreting "The Noble Haltmann". The trick did not work however, and Haltmann left The Voice's office furious, planning to order his employees to make Gadgetini Clone 2.0 in secret.

She also appeared in the next episode, "An Acrimonious Assault", no longer in the Susie disguise. Here, she gives an encouraging speech to Nozomi before she could be defeated by Angry Joe.

In "One Last Chance", she dresses as one of The Voice's guards in order to hide while they were hunting for her. Nozomi, Santa and Meta Knight encounters her and, thinking that she was an actual guard, Meta Knight knocks her down before Haruka reveals herself and leads them to the studio where The Voice filmed broadcasts for the city. Haruka then explains her plan and how she has been trying to open the door where the other Figments were all imprisoned but hasn't had much luck. As the trio was about to leave the vault, a patrol group arrived via elevator and started investigating the area, which would raise suspicion as they were expecting someone to guard the vault. With her disguise off and knowing that there would be too many guards for the heroes to handle, Haruka offers herself as a distraction to divert the guards away from the trio. Supporting her decision, Meta Knight gives her his cape to help with her escape, granting her wings and invisibility. After giving one last reassuring wink to the trio, she leaves the vault.

During the Figments' assault on the top floor of The Voice's tower, it was revealed that Haruka had survived the diversion, as Santa caught a glimpse of her carrying a severely injured Grand Dad to safety outside the building.
