However, the track became popular again thanks to the release of the album Everywhere at the End of Time by the Caretaker, a long-running project by composer James Leyland Kirby. The first stage of the album series contains the track "A1 - It's just a burning memory", which uses the Al Bowlly rendition of "Heartaches". With the other tracks, the album uses other renditions of "Heartaches".
With the popularity of the album and its concept, the first track from the albums became the most popular track, as well as a meme on the internet.
