"Komm, süsser Tod - Neon Genesis Evangelion" is a high quality rip of "Komm, süsser Tod" from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Jokes[]

The rip is a parody of "Komm, süsser Tod" from The End of Evangelion mainly centered on HH. Various lines spoken by HH are pitch-shifted and sentence-mixed to the melody of the original song. It serves as a sequel to "A Cruel Angel's Thesis - Neon Genesis Evangelion".

At 0:25, various clips from hhgregg commercials featuring HH are shown with a desaturated filter and white vignette. A guitar can also be heard playing the melody of "Deck the Halls"/"Christmas in July" over the instrumental. At 0:50, the visuals switch to a spoof of The End of Evangelion's poster depicting Kmart's Mr. Bluelight and Kraft's Cheesasaurus Rex staring out to a red sea filled with appliances with a giant version of HH's head in the background. This image slowly zooms in over the course of the video.

The End of HHGregg

The image used for most of the rip.

At 2:15 and 3:41, instruments from "LoveGame" by Lady Gaga, referencing the video "HHGREGG DANCE CREW FROM THE STREETS", are pitch-shifted to and mashed up with the instrumental.

At 5:29, various news reports on hhgregg's closure following its 2017 bankruptcy are heard. Finally, at 6:46, HH himself delivers a rant about the state of his existence and the failed business he belongs to. It is reminiscent of the rant delivered by Shinji before Third Impact begins in The End of Evangelion.

(Spoken by news reporters)
The deadline for hhgregg to find someone to buy the company has come and gone. 132 stores nationwide will soon close.
The company had a 5PM deadline to find a buyer or at least get a bid, and as you mentioned that deadline expired just about an hour ago. That means going-out-of-business sales start tomorrow for hhgregg's 132 locations nationwide. In a statement, hhgregg says "We have continued to fight for the future of our company, and while we had discussions with more than 50 private equity firms and other investors, unfortunately we were unsuccessful in our plan to secure a viable buyer of the business."
The employees I've spoken with are obviously upset, disheartened, discouraged, the customers on the other hand are mostly just looking to capitalize on whatever going-out-of-business sales are forthcoming, so definitely two different dynamics there.
Needless to say, it's been a difficult day inside the struggling company.

Somber, for sure. Everyone's, y'know, trying to be chipper and hope for the best, but it's one of those things where I guess it was just unavoidable.

TV and appliance chain hhgregg will be closing its doors forever this weekend, with its month long liquidation sale finally coming to an end.

(Spoken by HH)
I am nothing without this business. I'm a sales guide with no products. I have red tags sitting on appliances to tell imaginary customers about imaginary sales. Why am I even here? I tried to give customers my lowest prices, and it didn't matter. I wanted to make those around me admire me. That's why I ran the stores. And now that it's gone, I have never felt more alone. Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Whirlpool, LG, everybody. They ALL abandoned me. And the customers who I have helped, only saw my downfall as another sale. Liquidation. With all my products gone, they see me just as I see myself. None of them care about me. So they can all just die. hhgregg. You want it, we've got it.
