Minecraft is a 2011 sandbox video game. It is also a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.

Overview[]

On May 17, 2009, the first ever public beta build of Minecraft would release, with it being developed by Markus Persson (also known as Notch). The game continued to be developed from then and would be fully released on November 28, 2011. The game would be developed and published by Mojang Studios on various different platforms. Eventually, Notch would leave Mojang and would let Jens Bergensten (also known as Jeb) control the game's development.

The game itself follows you, the player, making and destroying materials to eventually beat the final challenge of the game, the Ender Dragon. The game also has many other modes and various other things to do in it.

The game would receive critical acclaim, with many calling it one of the best video games of all time. The game would grow popular on YouTube due to many gameplay videos of it.

There are many spin-offs of the game, those being Minecraft: Story Mode, Minecraft Earth, Minecraft Dungeons, and Minecraft Legends. The game is also scheduled to receive a movie adaptation expecting to be released in April 2025 titled A Minecraft Movie.

As Minecraft is a very popular game, rips of and featuring the game are very common within the channel. Many rips have utilized the soundtrack of the game throughout the whole channel, with many rips featuring "Aria Math" and "Pigstep".

There are two submemes related to the game, those being Minecraft with Gadget, a video of Inspector Gadget and Mike Matei reviewing the game. This meme would be frequently used during both of the Inspector Gadget takeovers. The other meme is "Revenge", a Minecraft-themed parody of "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" by Usher ft. Pitbull. It would get a minor channel event in 2019.

From July 29, 2022 to July 31, 2022, Minecraft - Volume Alpha and Beta Day would occur. During this event, every song from the Minecraft alpha and beta volume albums would be ripped. This event would end with the release of the album SiIvaCraft - Volume Alpha Version & Beta Mix, and the SiIvaCraft Resource Pack, a resource pack made for the game that includes all the rips from the aforementioned event and various other changes such a splash texts being changed to reference memes on the channel.

The channel also occasionally celebrates the anniversary of the game with a few rips.
