"Mo Bamba" is a song by the rapper Sheck Wes. It is also a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.
Overview[]
"Mo Bamba" is a single by American rapper Sheck Wes. It was released on June 16, 2017, by Cactus Jack Records, GOOD Music and Interscope Records. It serves as a single from his debut studio album, Mudboy. The song was produced by 16yrold and record production duo Take a Daytrip. "Mo Bamba" is named after then-Texas Longhorn and now Orlando Magic player Mo Bamba, who grew up with Sheck Wes in his hometown of New York.[1]
The song was a sleeper hit, going viral in mid-2018, approximately a year after its release, first entering Billboard Hot 100 chart in September 2018.[2] Memes poking fun at the popularity of the song among the white demographic gained popularity on Twitter.[3]

The first rip on the channel to reference "Mo Bamba" was "Solaris Phase 2 (Vocal Mix) - Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)", although it actually contains no audio from the song itself; the lyrics of the first verse were sung by the ripper, alongside those of "SICKO MODE". This pairing references the "SICKO MODE or Mo Bamba" meme prominent during 2019; "SICKO MODE" was used in more rips than "Mo Bamba" during that year. While making occasional appearances in the following years, The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special: Part V was the start of a resurgence in the meme, which would more often be featured on its own during the following Season 6, usually with instrumental edits and/or pitch-shifting of the vocals.
