"Mt. Dedede"[1] is the theme and leitmotif of King Dedede[2] in the Kirby franchise. Created by Jun Ishikawa[3], composer of most of the entire series' soundtrack, this track first appeared in the very first game in the series, Kirby's Dream Land, and has been since used for almost every appearance of the character. Kirby Super Star however introduced the second part of the song that wasn't in the original one.
The song is usually interpreted with the series signature-style between chiptune and orchestral and associated with bass string and treble brass instruments and a borderline drum-and-bass beat. It notably has a faster variation in the form of "Masked Dedede", an upgraded version of the character first appearing in Kirby Super Star Ultra. "Mt. Dedede" also appears in the Super Smash Bros. series since King Dedede became a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (as a fun Easter egg, the silhouette of King Dedede always appears in the Sound Test of SSB4 when listening to variations of this track).
The first "Mt. Dedede" rip uploaded on the old GiIvaSunner channel was Mt. Dedede - Kirby Super Star on March 2, 2016[4] which was a blue balls rip repeating the intro in loop (the rip would eventually be reuploaded on the current channel on May 18, 2016). Following the termination of GiIvaSunner, the first "Mt. Dedede" uploaded on SiIvaGunner became the Dedede Fusion Collab, a special medley rip celebrating 7000 subscribers (or "7 grand subscribers") on the new channel[5]. This first "kirbtunes" would pave the way to many others in the future, while this one would remain in the top 10 most viewed videos of the channel with almost 600k views.
There are currently 32 high quality rips of "Mt. Dedede" on the channel. 9 of these are of the "Masked Dedede" remix from Kirby Super Star Ultra; 1 rip is of "Dedede Fusion Collab".
