National Waddle Day was originally made as a joke by Triple-Q in 2016 after he sarcastically declared August 10 to be National Waddle Day in a Tweet[1]. While the ripper originally intended the Tweet as a jab at "holidays" created by Twitter users, he continued to celebrate the holiday in subsequent years with several Tweets and artwork commemorating the day[2]. It would eventually become a small holiday in its own right after the concept gained traction[3].
