"Onett" is the track that plays in the town of the same name in EarthBound. It's a calm track based on the mix of nature and city life of the place. The track is often associated with Ness, as it's the first location explored in the game and where his home is located.
The track reappeared in MOTHER 1+2, a compilation of the first two installments of the MOTHER series, and most notably in the Super Smash Bros. series, where it received a remix titled "Onett Theme / Winters Theme" that also includes elements of "Snowman", another track featured in EarthBound.
There are currently 13 rips of "Onett" on the SiIvaGunner channel, including one rip from MOTHER 1+2. The first rip of the track, "Onett Theme - Earthbound" was uploaded to the GiIvaSunner channel on March 7, 2016, it was reuploaded to the SiIvaGunner channel on May 3, 2016. The track was ripped several times during Season 1, mostly in the form of melody changes. The song has become less frequent since then, with only a handful of rips uploaded over the years. Most modern "Onett" rips are full arrangements based on the track's structure. Strangely, there are two titles used to advertise the track (these being "Onett" and "Sunrise & Onett"), and they have been used inconsistently in recent times.
"Onett" was occasionally featured as a joke alongside Undertale songs (most notably "MEGALOVANIA") during Season 1 as a reference to the "Sans is Ness" meme. However, its appearances became less frequent over the years, with only a few minor appearances since then. The song's disappearance can be attributed to the decline in popularity of "Sans is Ness" on the channel, and whose appearances have become more indirect since then.
