Os Barões da Pisadinha (translation: "The Barons of the Little Step") is a Brazilian electronic forró band formed by Rodrigo Barão and Felipe Barão. They are a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.
Overview[]
In 2015, Brazilian musicians Rodrigo Araújo Neves (Rodrigo Barão) and Felipe Santana Mota (Felipe Barão) formed a band named Os Barões do Forró ("The Barons of Forró"). They primarily make music in genres derivative of Brazilian forró, mainly electronic forró and tecno brega, utilizing more modern instruments with elements of other international genres. They helped popularize the pisadinha ("little step"), a style of rhythm commonly used in forró derivatives, so much so that the band's name was changed to reference it. The band has been incredibly popular in Brazil, especially in its northeastern regions and music streaming services, with their most popular songs including "Tá Rocheda", "Chupadinha", and "Basta Você Me Ligar" ft. Xand Avião. Their music has also become notorious to some due to their repeated instrumentation, particularly an oft-repeated descending drum fill.
Rips[]
The first rip by SiIvaGunner to reference Os Barões da Pisadinha was "Mushroom Dance (OST Version) - Undertale" on July 28, 2022, which references their signature drum fill. They were then featured in a segment of "Caramelldansen Fusion Collab" on November 17. Numerous rips featuring the band were then uploaded during The Pisadinhover, a channel event dedicated to the band, starting on February 13, 2023, and ending on February 16 with the release of Os Barões da Qualidade, an album containing all of the event's rips. Several rips featuring the band have been uploaded since then, most commonly in the form of arrangements in the style of their music, incorporating the same instrumentation and repeated drum fill. The game Toca Pisadinha has also been used as a joke game to upload arrangements of non-video game tracks.
