"Player Select" is a frequently ripped track from Super Mario Bros. 2.

Summary

"Player Select" is a track composed by Koji Kondo. In Super Mario Bros. 2, the track is played on the character selection screen at the beginning of the game and when the player presses "continue" after getting a game over.

The track would later receive new arrangements in Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance for the same purpose, as well as an arrangement in Super Mario 3D World (titled "Slot Machine"), played in the bonus slot machine mini-games.

The original track would also be featured in Super Mario Maker 2 as the bonus game theme when the player is using the SMB2 Mushroom.
