The RANDOM CHIMP EVENT was a channel event that occurred on the SiIvaGunner channel in 2024.
Summary[]
Partway through June 24, at 3:00PM PDT, the channel began uploading various rips related to monkeys. Starting with the second rip, the catchphrase was changed to "Give channel description me give read channel description me read channel description give me read channel description give me you", referencing the longest recorded sentence spoken by Nim Chimpsky.
During the event, the avatar was changed to an image of a chimp, while the banner was changed to red text stating "WHERE WILL YOU BE / DURING RANDOM CHIMP EVENT", with various primate characters surrounding the lighthouse:

Partway through the event, the rip "The Monkeys' Maze (Unused Version) - EarthBound" was made the featured video for returning subscribers and the rip "The Monkeys' Maze (CD Version) - EarthBound" was made the channel trailer. After the release of the rip "Ending Theme (Short Version) - Super Mario World", the avatar was changed to be blanked out, while the banner was changed to an edit of a scene from the film Planet of the Apes (1968) with the Statue of Liberty replaced with the Tengami lighthouse and text added reading "YOU MANIACS!/YOU BLEW/IT UP!". The channel trailer and featured video were also changed to the rips "DK Rap - The Super Mario Bros. Movie" and "Rise - Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward" respectively.
Two community posts were also made during the event; the first included the "monkey selfie" and the text "Give", while the second included an image of The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 and an angry chimpanzee.[1][2]
