Revision as of 22:35, 5 August 2021

"Rainbow Connection - The Muppets CD-ROM: Muppets Inside" is a high quality rip of "Rainbow Connection" from The Muppets CD-ROM: Muppets Inside.

Jokes

This is a joke cover of "Astronaut in the Ocean" in a Kermit voice over an instrumental edit of "Rainbow Connection". In addition, at 0:11 a banjo plays "Snow halation", and at 2:22 and 2:34 "Kermit" quotes lines from "Once in a Lifetime" by Talking Heads. The cover ends with "Kermit" wondering aloud about Yoda's whereabouts.

The cover is accompanied by a video of a Kermit puppet performing the cover on a cardboard box, with swamp and rainbow footage and various images related to the lyrics displayed behind him. At the beginning of the rip, the following credits are displayed:

Kermit the Frog
"Rainbow Connection"
Written by Masked Wolf
Jim Henson Records
Director: David Lynch

At the end of the rip, Kermit starts to fall off his box as we hear a Howie scream.

Kony 2012! Yaaay!

What do you know about rollin' down in the deep?
When your brain goes numb, you can call that mental freeze
When these people talk too much, put that shit in slow motion
I feel like an astronaut in the ocean

What you know about rollin' down in the deep?
When your brain goes numb, you can call that mental freeze
When these people talk too much, put that shit in slow motion, yeah
I feel like an astronaut in the ocean

[coughs and clears throat]

She say that I'm cool (damn straight)
I'm like "yeah, that's true" (that's true)
I believe in G-O-D (ayy)
Don't believe in T-H-O-T
She keep playing me dumb (play me)
I'ma play her for fun (uh-huh)

Y'all don't really know my mental
Lemme give you the picture like a stencil
Falling out, in a drought
No flow, rain wasn't pouring down (pouring down)
See, that pain was all around
See, my mode was kinda lounged
Didn't know which way to turn
Flow was cool but I felt burnt
Energy up, you can feel my surge
I'ma kill everything like this is The Purge (ayy)
Let's just get this straight for a second, I'ma work
(I have not seen The Purge!)

Babababa!
What do you know about rollin' down in the deep?
When your brain goes numb, you can call that mental freeze (Same as it ever was)
When these people talk too much, put that shit in slow motion (yeah)
I feel like an astronaut in the ocean (There is water at the bottom of the ocean)

What you know about rollin' down in the deep?
When your brain goes numb, you can call that mental freeze
When these people talk too much, put that shit in slow motion, yeah
I feel like an astronaut in the ocean

Rollin' down in the deep
When your brain goes numb, you can call that mental freeeeeeeeeeze

Hmm, I wonder how Yoda's doing.
I should have him over for dinner sometime soon.

EEUUU--
