"I've had the plan of ending SiIvaGunner on September 30th"
―Chaze the Chat in "the nutshack theme but the first nutshack is replaced with me ending the channel".

The Season 1 Finale was the final event of Season 1, originally planned to be the true ending of the SiIvaGunner channel.

Background[]

Chaze the Chat had planned since May 2016 to end the channel on a high note on September 30, 2016, the fifty-sixth anniversary of the first airing of The Flintstones, rather than have the channel continue until it got stale or the contributors got bored, since the channel would not have a satisfying ending that way.

The Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special and Christmas Comeback Crisis were still planned to happen at this time despite taking place after the ending, but they were intended to be brief special returns for the holidays rather than the legitimate comeback they ended up becoming; this 2016 ending would end up being officially disregarded on April 19, 2017 in the video "MEGALOVANIA (Chex Mix) - Undertale", where Chaze says that in addition to still needing to complete the Christmas Comeback Crisis, he and the team had regained motivation to continue the channel for a while in what he wanted to consider a "Season 2", though with a new planned ending.

Rips uploaded[]

Starting on September 27, several new albums were released at a rapid pace, causing viewers to become suspicious of a channel ending. On September 29, the channel uploaded many medley rips and other rips with general themes of finality. The channel stopped uploading rips in an hourly schedule after the release of "Planet Wisp: Act 2 - Sonic Generations".

On September 30, SiIvaGunner released three more albums, a credits roll featuring every contributor to the channel up to this point, and "Battle! (Wild Pokémon) (High Quality) - Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire", a remastered version of the very first high quality rip. Later that day, SiIvaGunner released "the nutshack theme but the first nutshack is replaced with me ending the channel", a 50-minute long "vlog" made by Chaze, revealing that he was the creator of the channel and that he had planned to end the channel. He also says in the vlog that two more finale rips would be released after it, but this number was increased several times for various reasons, and ultimately landed on seven finale rips.

On Twitter, the @GiIvaSunner account announced that the next two rips were taking longer to make than expected, so it was decided to release a third rip.[1][2]

The channel description was changed to:

Here you found a selection of mostly Nintendo video game music.

I did not own the rights to any of the music heard in these videos. Ripping and recording game music was quite a time-consuming undertaking for me (especially Wii U and 3DS), but you left soundtrack requests or suggestions via PM or Twitter, and I did what I could.

Banner artwork was from the game "Tengami".

(All of the uploads were willingly submitted by a team of content creators. Thank you.)

Around twenty hours after the final rip released, the avatar was changed to the first avatar ever used by the original GilvaSunner in 2009 on his TimmyTurnersDad channel.
