The SiIvaGunner All-Star Summer Festival 2021: Legends of the Western Sunset, or simply SummerFes, was an event on the SiIvaGunner channel which began on July 15, 2021 and was said to end in August 2021, but actually ended on September 14, 2021.
Similar to the SiIvaSummer All-Star Festival and the SiIvaGunner All-Star Winter Festival, this is a super-event encompassing a few traditional channel events and special activities amongst regular uploads.
Rips uploaded[]
The channel accepted submissions for rips themed to Summer or Westerns during the event, similar to the Winter Festival's Christmas rips. Uploads of rips with these themes were initially infrequent, but became more common as the event went on.
Activities[]
- On July 15, 2021, a video was uploaded to announce the festival. Soon after, PSY-related rips were uploaded to celebrate "Gangnam Style"'s ninth anniversary, accompanied by another announcement video.
- On July 17, two videos were uploaded to announce that the Space Jam Charity SLAM!, originally meant for the 2020 summer festival, would occur later that day. On a minor note, the channel also celebrated the second anniversary of the debut of the hololive virtual YouTuber Usada Pekora with the upload of "Usada Pekora BGM (Extended Version) - Hololive x Azur Lane Collab Event".
- Additionally, all "Space Jam" mashups created for the stream, including ones that didn't get to premiere during it, were released weekly every Saturday starting from July 24 and ending on August 28, also known as SLAM!turdays.
- On July 20, a few Chrono Trigger rips featuring jokes related to the animated movie Spirited Away were uploaded to celebrate Spirited Away's twentieth anniversary. This event was the first not to be announced beforehand.
- On July 25, hhgregg-related rips and Christmas-themed rips were uploaded to celebrate Christmas in July 2021, accompanied by an announcement video.
- On August 5, the channel began uploading several original remixes of songs from the Kirby series for the Super Star Symphony, with an announcement video accompanying them.
- On August 12, a few rips featuring songs by the Minecraft YouTuber Dream were uploaded to celebrate his twenty-second birthday. This event was the second not to be announced beforehand.
- On August 13, the album SGFR Presents: Super Star Symphony was released alongside an announcement video.
- On August 22, rips featuring works produced by Studio Trigger were uploaded to celebrate its tenth anniversary, with an announcement video accompanying them. Later that day, another announcement video was uploaded to announce the release of the album STUDIO TRIGGER QUALITY MUSIC WORKS.
- On August 24, the Gabe Newell Takeover began to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Valve Corporation's founding, accompanied by an announcement video.
- On August 27, an event dedicated to The Beatles was announced. The album SiIvaGunner's Lonely Rips Club Band was released alongside another announcement video one day later.
- On September 4, the album The Space Jam Charity SLAM!: First Quarter was released alongside an announcement video. Afterwards, the channel went on break.
- On September 10, two rips relating to the Not Funny Didn't Laugh Day event (September 10, 2019) were uploaded.
- On September 11, a rip celebrating the 44th birthday of Ludacris was uploaded.
- On September 14, regular uploads resumed, concluding with a video announcing the end of the festival, as well as the release of the event's albums, Legends of the Western Sunset ~ The SiIvaGunner All-Star Summer Festival 2021 Collection and Bloodstained Bounties ~ The SiIvaGunner All - Star Summer Festival 2021 Collection [Event Side].
Community posts[]
Throughout the event, a multitude of community posts were put out; these (with 2 exceptions) were done in a similar fashion to the event's announcement videos, with more monologueing from Redwood and usually acting as the conclusion to the relevant channel event. They were also used to point out new additions to the channel banner. (See also #Gallery.)
