"SiIvaGunner presents... The KING FOR ANOTHER DAY TOURNAMENT!" is the high quality announcement video for the King for Another Day Tournament. It was released the day before the tournament's official beginning.
Summary[]
This is an elaborate animation that depicts all 32 contestants in the tournament, as well as Unregistered HyperCam 2 and Meowth, set to a shortened version of "BE THE KING" by wolfman1405. The video comes with closed captions that display "BE THE KING"'s lyrics in a "singalong" format, with color changes timed in sync.
The animation opens with the following titles:
Once again, the ultimate battle is here.
Thirty-two challengers seek the taste of victory.
And though they all bring their best...
...only one will be crowned the KING FOR A DAY.
Towards the end, we see found footage clips representing the various match-ups in Round 1 of the tournament, as credits roll:
- A Jack Frost costume dancing while Mothman pans in from the left, and Mariya Takeuchi performing live
- King Dedede obtaining his mask in Kirby Triple Deluxe, and the Off the Hook cutscene from Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion with a picture of Paruko
- A video showing various Nico Nico Douga memes, and Ajit Pai's famous video of his fidget spinning, overlaid with a Harlem Shake video
- The freeze-frame at the end of Adam Levine's reveal trailer, and The Jazz Cats in front of footage from John Coltrane's 1965 performance in Belgium
- Wario and Waluigi from the Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour opening cutscene, and Johnny Bravo from the television series of the same name
- Geno's awakening from Super Mario RPG, and "Weird Al" Yankovic from the "Fat" music video
- Quote's appearance in Blade Strangers, and footage of ZUN from his NHK World interview
- Papyrus from the end of Undertale, and official animated footage of both Phoenix Wright and Monokuma from their respective series
- Mr. Krabs' appearance from the SpongeBob episode Burst Your Bubble, and Dr. Robotnik's appearance from Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
- The "Men in Black" music video overlaid with the Howard the Alien animation, and the music video for "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk ft. Pharrell
- Jack & Elmo's reveal trailer, and the Tap Trial Rhythm game from Rhythm Heaven Fever overlaid with Don-Chan jumping in
- Donkey Kong from the Donkey Kong Country TV series, and Eminem as he appears in D12's "My Band" music video
- Pitbull and Popoy from the "Dame Tu Cosita" remix music video overlaid with the Marcianito gif, and Metal Gear Solid gameplay
- Dr. Piccolo's appearance in his reveal trailer, and Thanos and Mickey Mouse from a botargas race video
- MissingNo. as it appears in Pokémon Red & Blue, and DJ Professor K from Jet Set Radio Future
- HOBaRT's appearance from its reveal trailer, and Reggie Fils-Aimé and Bill Trinen from their infamous Nintendo Direct skit "The Very Important Meeting Part 1"
