"SiIva Direct Mini Quarantine 2020" is a high quality stream held on April 1, 2020, as part of the April Fools' Day 2020 event.

Content[]

This stream is an elaborate April Fool's joke; while it imitates the format of the three actual Directs, none of the content actually announces any new information.

At 0:10, "Steve Jobs" (played by Mike Mehr) introduces himself and declares a very special announcement. A "reveal" of Cloud Strife in the same manner as the actual King for Another Day reveal trailers then plays; however, the trailer itself consists of the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS reveal trailer for him with the Super Smash Bros. logo replaced with the King for Another Day Tournament logo, and an outro in the style of the King for Another Day reveal trailers' outros, complete with the date for the tournament. Afterwards, Chaze the Chat (via footage from SiIva Direct 4.1.2019 "translated" by Hinchy like the other Directs) reveals Cloud's source list, but shortly after announces Cloud's non-participation.

At 2:02, "Steve Jobs" appears again to announce that Cloud will be available for download after the stream finishes playing, referring to a Google Drive link in the stream's description, which is for a picture of Cloud's KFAD-style character art.

At 2:25, "Steve Jobs" then announces that there is "one more thing". The King for Another Day reveal trailer intro plays, followed by an uncomfortable amount of time on the blank white screen at the end of the intro with no audio. At 2:52, Adam Levine's reveal trailer plays. At 3:17, on the frame used for Adam's tier list image, the video pauses and then very slowly zooms into his face as "P'lod In The House" by Béla Fleck & The Flecktones plays in full, stretching the Direct out to an exact length of 7 minutes.

At 6:55, as the song ends, an edited picture of Cloud with tiny bleeding bug-eyes appears for three frames, followed by a black screen.

The title of the stream references the 2020 Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic; at time of release, many countries were being significantly affected by the outbreak, and governments had to institute restrictive containment measures such as quarantines.

[We see an "HWCRB" rating where all the other text just consists of the number 2. This is followed by the same "YouTube Videos" logo seen in the other Directs and a short Nintendo Direct-style title sequence.]

[Transition to Mike Mehr wearing round Steve Jobs-esque glasses. Behind him are two computer screens displaying Apple-related pages, one of which is just a Google Image Search page for iPhones.]

Mike: Hi, everybody. Steve Jobs here, creator of... [looks at marker writing on his hand reading "I work at [...]"] ...Apple. [The caption "Steve Jobs/iPhone" pops up.] During our off time on this, we all need a little bit of excitement in our lives to cheer us up a bit. So, today, I have a very, very special announcement for all of you. Take a look.

[Fade to black. Fade into the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS Cloud Strife reveal trailer, but with the Smash Bros. logo replaced by the King for Another Day one. After Cloud says, "Never thought I'd see the day." in Japanese, cut to a "reveal" in the style of the actual King for Another Day reveals, complete with the old 11/23/2019 date, as the victory fanfare from Final Fantasy VII plays.]

[Cut to Cloud Strife's art.]

Hinchy: That's right! The soldier of fortune from Final Fantasy VII, Cloud Strife, joins the battle in the King for Another Day Tournament as a downloadable fighter. His source list features all of the Final Fantasy VII songs you love!

[A source list appears, with the only two entries being "Let the Battles Begin!" and "Fight On!". The credit "Art by: Dead Line" also appears.]

[Cut to footage of Chaze the Chat from the SiIva Direct 4.1.2019 shoot, with the caption "Chaze the Chat/Grand Dad".]

Hinchy: Unfortunately, since the King for Another Day Tournament has already happened, Cloud will not be participating in the King for Another Day Tournament.

[Cut back to "Steve Jobs".]

Steve Jobs: Just incredible stuff. And, we hope you're just as excited as we are for Cloud's release, and he will be releasing today! [The captions "Releasing today!" and "Check the video description after the direct is over!" appear.] After this presentation is over, you can go into this video's description and click the download link and download Cloud today! We thank you so much for tuning into our announcement today. But, we have one more thing! [The caption "One more thing!" appears.]

[Fade to black. The intro to the King for Another Day reveal trailers plays, but the white screen stays for an uncomfortably long period of time. "V Stands for Victory" then plays, but the final freeze-frame slowly zooms in from 3:17 to 6:55 as the song "P'lod In The House" by Béla Fleck & The Flecktones plays. At 6:55, an edited picture of Cloud with tiny bleeding bug-eyes appears for three frames, followed by a black screen.]
