"Slider" is a frequently ripped track from the game Super Mario 64 on the SiIvaGunner channel.
Summary
The song is a country/ska variation of the leitmotif used in "Bob-omb Battlefield" and "Snow Mountain", both being composed by Nintendo veteran composer Koji Kondo, used for slide areas in Super Mario 64,[1] such as The Princess's Secret Slide, as well as some of the hard levels, such as Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Ride.
Being one of the most popular songs from the game, it has been rearranged/reused in several other titles, including Super Smash Bros. Melee ("Rainbow Ride"), Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario 3D World, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and Super Mario Maker 2.
Rips

The first "Slider" rip was "Slider - Super Mario 64", uploaded to the GiIvaSunner channel on February 28, 2016; it was a simple 7 GRAND DAD joke that was nonetheless particularly fitting. This rip was the most viewed video on the original GiIvaSunner channel, and was quickly reuploaded to SiIvaGunner following the GiIvaSunner Termination.
Since then, new "Slider" rips have been released at a somewhat consistent rate of 1 per month, although this seemed to increase to 2 around September 2021. The only major bump in "Slider" rips was during September 2016, when 23 rips of it were released (11 of these being for the Super Mario Bros. 31st Anniversary event). Not counting "Circus" (since its rips are almost always an unrelated remix), "Slider" is the track with the most rips on the channel, with 110 of them if all the games it's featured in are counted.
Due to its popularity with rippers, "Slider" has also been featured as a joke in a few rips, mostly medley rips. The first video to feature "Slider" as a joke was "Snowmobile Accident", which was published on April 19, 2016, and mirrors GilvaSunner's video of the same name which also features Slider.
Trivia
- On the real GilvaSunner channel, this song was incorrectly titled as "Slide". Due to the popularity and legacy of the "Slider" rips, it is one of the few rare cases where SiIvaGunner has intentionally not matched GilvaSunner.
- Unlike most frequently ripped tracks, "Slider" has no duplicate standards (in which songs that are ripped more often demand a higher level of quality/originality to get accepted).[2]
- This being said, however, most Slider rips from Season 4 Episode 2 onwards have been full arrangements of tracks rather than simple melody-swaps, so there has been a increase in quality.
