The advertised track is sped up and, starting at 0:20, mashed up with the song "Bane Star (Big Guy For You)" by Caleb Pearl. At 2:05, the whistle's melody is changed to "Meet the Flintstones". At 3:37, instead of "I miss you", a "GRAND DAD!?" from Joel's reaction to 7 GRAND DAD plays. At 3:49, Loud Nigra screams play in the background.

This rip was uploaded on SiIvaGunner on September 11, 2016, as part of the 9/11 2016 channel event. It was removed from the channel partway through the day and later reuploaded on Flustered Fernando along with most other rips uploaded for the event. This rip's upload on Flustered Fernando was titled "Smiles and Tears (Beta Mix) - Earthbound", with a lowercase b on Earthbound.[2]
