"Take On Me" was released in 1985 by a-ha in their first album Hunting High and Low. The song was adapted from "Miss Eerie" from Pål Waaktaar's and Magne Furuholmen's previous band Bridges. "Take On Me" became the number-one single in a dozen countries while its music video also became a cult classic on MTV, featuring a mix of live-action footage and rotoscoped animation. The song was covered by a number of bands over the years including Reel Big Fish, A1, and Ninja Sex Party.
As the song is iconic and recognizable, it is featured in a handful amount of rips on the channel, mostly in solo appearences. The rip "Yogurt Yard - Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land" features "Take On Me", and due to its popularity, its been referenced in various other rips.
