"Takyon (Death Yon)" is the fifth track on Exmilitary, Death Grips's debut mixtape, which was released to universal acclaim. A music video was released on May 18, 2011. The song and music video has become infamous for MC Ride's aggressive tone, as well as the flashy and epilepsy-inducing visuals in the video.

"Takyon (Death Yon)" is a popular soundclown source due to its simple instrumental. Since numerous soundclown sources are memes on the SiIvaGunner channel, "Takyon (Death Yon)" is no exception and has made its way into dozens of rips, most notably medley rips. The meme's usage has become less frequent ever since Season 2, but it still appears occasionally in medley rips.
In recent years, Takyon rips feature the vocals pitch-shifted to the melody, rather than it being a simple acapella slap like its usage in Season 1.
