"The Hampsterdance Song" is a novelty song by Hampton the Hamster. It is also a minor meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.

Summary[]

"The Hampsterdance Song" was first released as a single on June 13, 2000 by Koch Entertainment. The song's hook is a sped-up sample of the song "Whistle-Stop" from Robin Hood. The song was originally used in a 1998 web page titled "Hampster Dance" before the song's release.

The song would blow up quickly, with a mostly positive reception. There is also an official animated music video for the song released the same year as the song's release.

Rips[]

The song would first appear in "Chapter 4 Execution - Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" and would make occasional appearances over the next few years. The song's most notable appearances were during the Hampsterdance 22nd Anniversary event, an event celebrating the song's anniversary. It would be used 21 times during the event.

After the event, the song would see more common usage in rips, mainly in medley rips. Most newer solo usages of it are by Alex Wumbo.
