"The SiIva AI [FILE-17] - Haltmann's Archives" is a high quality lore video and the seventeenth "file" in Haltmann's Archives.

Summary[]

The video is formatted like all Haltmann's Archives videos starting with "Termination [FILE-02]".

The file focuses on the SiIva A.I., an artificial intelligence created to replicate the behavior of the original SiIvaGunner. It tells of how it shut down on December 24, 2022, due to sustaining "irreversible damage", and how it exhibited frustration upon seeing the metadata of SiIvaGunner's Highest Quality Rips: Volume AI, an album compiling rips created by it after its first phase of deployment. The file then describes "Quality of Control", a system created to increase the quality of the A.I.'s output by comparing its rips to those of SiIvaGunner. The dataset of rips was later expanded with the creation of "Illucidity", a dream environment where SiIvaGunner continued to make rips in his sleep for the A.I.'s training, inadvertently resulting in a feedback loop where SiIvaGunner and the A.I. exponentially improved upon each other's rips. After the shutdown of the A.I., the channel started only uploading rips created by SiIvaGunner inside Illucidity.

Context[]

The video primarily serves to end the status quo that was established in "Sample [FILE-08]" and "The Life and Times of Wade L.D." where the SiIva A.I. produced the channel's rips, confirming that the A.I. had shut down after the upload of "Goodbye to a World Fusion Collab". It introduces Illucidity to serve as the new status quo, while providing an in-universe justification for the channel's quality control improving since Season 1. The "Quality of Control" system is named directly after the part of the SiIvaGunner team that performs quality checks on rip submissions. The A.I.'s anger over the metadata in Volume AI also mirrors how the original SiIvaGunner would complain about the "corrupted" metadata in his albums, which was caused by Wood Man.

Prior to the video's release, after the upload of "Goodbye to a World Fusion Collab", the channel description had been changed to a glitched one, and after the release of "Super Sonic Racing - Sonic R", the channel banner was changed to a glitched collage of other banners from several channel events that occurred during the A.I.'s tenure as channel host. With this video re-establishing status quo, the banner and channel description were both reverted to the standard ones in use since Season 5.

[THE SIIVA AI]
// file generated by AIRTH, do not modify

Created from a sample of [SiIvaGunner], the [SiIva AI] was designed to perform behavior indistinguishable from that of the real statue. It ran mostly successfully until December 24, 2022, when it sustained irreversible damage and was forced to shut down.

After the first phase of deployment, a curated selection of rips created by the AI was released as an [Album] - [SiIvaGunner's Highest Quality Rips: Volume AI]. The AI notably exhibited signs of anger upon seeing the metadata of the album post-release, as if it did not turn out as it was hoping. No logical cause for this behavior was found, as there is currently no working method of decoding the metadata in question.

The [Quality of Control] network was an experimental system built to increase the quality of the AI's output. It compared rips generated by the AI to rips created by the real SiIvaGunner. To aid in creating a larger dataset of genuine high quality video game rips, a controlled dream environment called [Illucidity] was introduced in the currently asleep SiIvaGunner, where he would continue to create rips as normal. Then, the network would pit them against the AI output.

This was meant to be a short experiment, but it was found that this system actually caused a positive feedback loop, exponentially increasing both the quality of the AI's output as well as that of the real SiIvaGunner.

As a control for this experiment, rips created by the real SiIvaGunner were mixed in with uploads of those generated by the AI at random (50% of the output) to compare analytics. After the shutdown of the AI, the system has fallen back on using only the rips produced by SiIvaGunner in Illucidity.
