Tobuscus

Toby Turner, better known as Tobuscus, is an American Internet personality and musician. He is also a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.

Background[]

Tobuscus is a YouTuber, actor, and musician, best known for his sketches, music, and vlogs. Tobuscus' work quickly became popular, making him one of the most prominent YouTubers at the time and collaborating with several other users and companies such as Annoying Orange and Disney. He also had his own animated miniseries titled Tobuscus Adventures and a game based on it called Tobuscus Adventures: Wizards (currently known as Wizards: Wand of Epicosity).

Several of Tobuscus' videos and songs, most notably "NUGGET in a BISCUIT!!", became memes of their own shortly after being posted on his channels, becoming popular and memorable elements of the early YouTube era and being released digitally in music stores such as iTunes.

Rips[]

Tobuscus' music has been used in several rips during the channel's history, with his first appearances dating back to mid-Season 3. Tobuscus continued to be used in several rips since then, mainly in melody changes based on his most popular tracks, however it would not be until Season 8 where his works would become more relevant, appearing mainly in mashups and medley rips featuring several of his tracks. Notably, most of the medley rips that include Tobuscus-related jokes end with the "Subscribe!" jingle from their videos.

The shitpost rip "Andrew - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate", uploaded to SiIvaGunner2, as well as its (Beta Mix) variant uploaded on April Fools' Day 2023, feature several Tobuscus videos. Tobuscus Adventures: Wizards is also used as a joke game to upload rips of Tobuscus music.

I CAN SWING MY SWORD![]

"I CAN SWING MY SWORD!" is a Minecraft song that Tobuscus improvised in his video "Minecraft - I CAN SWING MY SWORD!", uploaded to TobyGames on November 5, 2011. The song was then turned into a full proper song, released to his main channel on April 12, 2012. The song was occasionally used in mashups until Season 8, where its uses increased to the point where it became the most used Tobuscus song on the channel. The song was also claimed as a featured source by Stingy during Season Mine, being used alongside other songs he mentioned as his.

NUGGET in a BISCUIT!![]

"NUGGET in a BISCUIT!!" is an original single released on iTunes on September 12, 2011, with its official music video being released on September 28 of the same year, the song quickly became popular, being used in several memes at the time. In 2017, two variants of the song were released, a direct sequel and a Christmas version. On the SiIvaGunner channel, the song has been used a decent number of times, initially appearing as melody changes and later medley rips alongside other Tobuscus related sources. Notably, the first rip featuring the song, "The Sarsaparilla Fields (Act 04) - The Smurfs (NES)", is also Tobuscus's first appearance overall on the channel.

Tobalphinehhpoop[]

Tobalphinehhpoop is a meme on the channel where the same combination of five unrelated sources get used together as if they were a single joke. One of the sources used is Tobuscus, most usually "I CAN SWING MY SWORD!". This appears to be an offshoot of the general rise of Tobuscus rips in Season 8, as the combination sprung up near the end of the season. So far, almost all Tobalphinehhpoop include Tobuscus.
