SiIvaGunner Wiki

toonlink is a former contributor of the SiIvaGunner channel.

In 2013, toonlink was inspired to create mashups by BotanicSage and FAROFF, two well-known mashup creators.[1]

One of toonlink's most well-known creations is "Wii Shop Bling", a mashup of the Wii Shop Channel music and the song "Hotline Bling" by Drake, which was first uploaded to YouTube on October 18, 2015.

On December 31, 2015,[2] toonlink uploaded a song to his SoundCloud page titled "The Last Megalovania Joke of 2015", which was a recreation of the song "Megalovania" using the choir instrument from the song "A Secret Course" from the game Super Mario Sunshine. When Chaze the Chat, another SoundCloud user at the time, discovered this song, he was inspired to create what would become the first rip uploaded to the GiIvaSunner channel.[3]

Around January 2016, toonlink was introduced to the GiIvaSunner channel via a Discord server he was in. In early March 2016, he decided to submit his first rip for the channel, "City of Color - Splatoon".[4][5] On June 15, 2016, toonlink became a backroom member.[5]

Instead of posting the original "Wii Shop Bling" on the SiIvaGunner channel, he posted alternate versions of it: "Main Theme (Anniversary Edition) - Wii Shop Channel" on April 30, 2016 -- which uses the Kidz Bop version of "Hotline Bling" -- and "Main Theme - Wii Shop Channel" on January 6, 2017 -- a melody swap of the Wii Shop Channel theme and "Hotline Bling". Later on January 14, 2017, he uploaded a version of "Main Theme - Wii Shop Channel" without "Meet the Flintstones" on his main channel as "Wii Shop Bling V2".

On July 6, 2016, toonlink created a YouTube channel under the name "ChrisGriffinsDad", which would later be credited as a contributor to the SiIvaGunner channel. The name was inspired by GilvaSunner's original username, TimmyTurnersDad.

The first three rips toonlink made are "City of Color - Splatoon", "Ringside - Rhythm Heaven Fever", and "Dr. Mario - Super Smash Bros. Melee".[4]

toonlink came up with the idea of organizing fusion collabs based on the collabs on the actual GilvaSunner channel, and organized the mashup-centered fusion collabs, starting with Dedede Fusion Collab.[4]

toonlink helped to create the Eggnog meme by encouraging a friend, DatManOvaDer, to submit a friendgroup in-joke video as a rip to the channel.[4]
