"Type A" (named as "Tetris Music 1" in Tetris & Dr. Mario, "Ancient Tetris" in Tetris DS and "Troika Retro" in the prototype THQ version of Tetris DS) is a frequently ripped track from the Tetris series.

Summary

"Type A" is actually an arrangement of "Korobeiniki", a Russian folk song. It was used for Type A levels in the Game Boy version of Tetris. After the success of that version of the game, "Korobeiniki" became the de-facto main theme of the series, and proceeded to appear in numerous other games.

In the NES version of Tetris, Type A levels are instead accompanied by an arrangement of "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy".

Brawl" on March 3, 2016, on the GiIvaSunner channel, but was never reuploaded after the channel's termination, and was a mashup of the advertised track with "Gangnam Style". The song itself also appears as a joke in other rips, like "Overworld (NES Classic Edition) - Super Mario Bros. 2", "South (In-Game Version) - Friday Night Funkin'", "Metal Crusher (SECAM Version) - Undertale" and many others.
