Universes are a concept in fiction which were introduced to the SiIvaGunner lore during SilvaGunner: Rebooted. Since Season 3, universes have played a larger role in the lore.

Main universe (Christmas Comeback Crisis)[]

Grandoise City

The map of Grandiose City, the primary location of the main universe in SiIvaGunner lore.

The universe where SiIvaGunner's home in Grandiose City resides, and where The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis takes place. From Season 3 to Season 6, rips in this universe were created by the SiIva A.I. developed by the Haltmann Works Company. With the A.I. being shut down at the end of Season 6, rips have been created by SiIvaGunner in a dream reality known as Illucidity.

This universe has not progressed past Christmas 2016, as Haltmann created a "time loop" so he could profit from rips forever, though figments from the future still come in through time rifts. During the SiIva A.I.'s tenure as host, it malfunctioned several times, resulting in apparent takeovers from characters that reside in the secondary universe.

As explained by The Voice Inside Your Head, there are two realms in this universe: the digital realm where figments reside, and the real world where humans and SiIvaGunner reside. In the prologue of the Christmas Comeback Crisis, The Voice used a device to transport several 2016 figments into Grandiose City.

Reboot universe[]

The universe that was temporarily visited during the SilvaGunner: Rebooted story arc. This universe was created during "Intro - SilvaGunner: Rebooted", when the energy from the chaos caused by the community discourse that The Voice integrated into SiIvaGunner's new ripping software made SiIvaGunner's computer crash, "causing time and space to reboot into an all new, alternate universe" according to The Voice. Since the end of the arc, it has been described as being a parallel universe.

The only difference between this universe and the main universe is that the three biggest memes used on the channel are different: "Meet the Flintstones" is instead the opening themes for The Simpsons and Family Guy, "Snow halation" is instead "GO MY WAY!!", and Loud Nigra is instead the Howie scream.

The universe was ultimately destroyed in "A Grand New Era ~Ending~ - SilvaGunner: Rebooted", with The Voice merging the aforementioned memes into the main universe so the reboot and pre-reboot memes could coexist (with the exception of "Snow halation", which Chad Warden had to bring back himself using the power of the MF Like Button).

Secondary universe (KFAD, Spooktacular, All-Star Festivals)[]

Dont Forget

The universe where the King for a Day tournaments took place, as well as The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special: Part II, III, CarnIVal, and V, the SiIvaGunner All-Star Festivals (SiIvaFes, WinterFes, SummerFes, and DoomFes), and SiIvaGunner's Inevitable Holiday Celebration. It is unknown if the first part of the Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special has any relation to this universe.

Unlike the main universe, this universe does not have different realms for figments and humans, so fictional characters and locations are seen next to humans and real-life locations. According to John Notwoodman in "The FINAL BOSS approaches... - SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day", King for a Day Tournament Enterprises, a company run by him, creates high quality rips for the SiIvaGunner channel in order to receive funding in this universe.

Two characters from the main universe inhabit this universe: Wood Man, a dimensional traveler, spent lots of time in this universe and played various roles within it to temporarily distance himself from the time loop of the main one; while The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 also accidentally wound up in this universe after eating a garlic taco, but has used the opportunity to report her findings back to Haltmann Works R&D.

In 2017, Wood Man filmed a movie with Takane Shijou, which he then took back to the main universe, only for Haltmann to immediately reject it. In 2019's A Murder Not Too Nice, Wood Man outbid John Notwoodman to get a mansion, causing John to plot against Wood Man. In 2020's SiIvaFes, Wood Man returned to acting and starred as Woodyana Stones alongside Season 4 memes in another movie, Woodyana Stones: Raider Made of Lost Bark. In 2021's SummerFes, he was a wanted bounty hunter in the Wild West known as Redwood. In the 2021 Curse of the Fallen Angel audio drama, he accompanied Takane on her quest to find three cursed individuals and stop the Fallen Angel.

In 2022's DoomFes, the world was plunged into a nuclear winter due to an impact from a meteor of unknown origin, causing Wood Man to explore alongside Joke-Explainer in search of a "calm zone", meeting several familiar characters along the way. Upon finding the meteor, a perfectly round pitch-black sphere, Wood Man decides to touch it, believing that this would put an end to the nuclear winter, but removing himself from this universe in the process. In 2023, Takane Shijou would begin traveling to every Harbor Town to try to find Wood Man (recounting a recurring interest he had in an unspecified "National Harbor"), one such town being the focus of The Cult of Proto.

Parallel universes[]

On several occasions, the phrase "parallel universe" has been used to describe the SilvaGunner: Rebooted universe, though the exact nature of what a "parallel universe" is hasn't been fully explained. The use of the phrase itself references a famous glitch in Super Mario 64 known by that name, where after going out of bounds far enough there is effectively a copy of the level geometry (but not any of the level's other features) due to the use of the modulo operator in the relevant collision code.

The first instance of the term "parallel universe" in the lore was in the error message in "Intro - SilvaGunner: Rebooted", hinting at the nature of SilvaGunner Rebooted. Much later, in "Opening Scene - Waluigi's Tacostand", El Bean says that adding garlic to a taco creates "a wormhole out of pure bad taste", and that "now we'll get succed into a parallel universe where the flintstones is off the air, snow halation doesn't exist and family guy is funny" (note that these traits line up with the reboot universe). In the video "[The SilvaGunner Timeline: A Summary of Events]", the reboot universe's memes are described as "parallel universe counterparts".

The nature of parallel universes is slightly expanded upon in "Nice, Slick, Blackness - SilvaGunner: Rebooted", released for the first anniversary of SilvaGunner: Rebooted, when Wood Man says "don't even get me started on the several parallel universes in those timelines". This line seems to indicate that parallel universes are a common phenomenon in the SiIvaGunner canon.

The word "parallel" would not be used in a relevant context again until 2023, in the video "Garlic-Flavored Tacos [FILE-16] - Haltmann's Archives". Unlike all previous usages of the term, it is used to describe the secondary universe, with no apparent link to the reboot.

Trivia[]

  • In the video "Hello :)", elements of both the main and secondary universes are seen. As the takeover it kickstarted was one of many instances of The SiIva A.I. allowing a channel takeover from a character in the secondary universe (Ajit Pai in this case), it is unclear what this implicates.
  • Characters from both universes attend Wood Man's Halloween House Party (ft. David S. Pumpkins). However, this instance of an apparent contradiction is meaningless as Wood Man says David S. Pumpkins disregarded continuity for the party.
