SiIvaGunner's uploads have video descriptions that are almost always formatted in a specific way. This format is copied from GilvaSunner's channel for the purpose of imitating it and confusing newcomers. When submitting a rip via email, the submission must include the video description written in this format.[1] The format is the following:
This page documents explanations of each section of the format, as well as common/notable variations of them, usually those that apply to an entire playlist or channel event, or appeared on the actual GilvaSunner channel at some point.
Music:[]
Lists the original track's name along with the rip's mix name, usually the same one used in the title of the video. When choosing the source for the name of the track, the label used by GilvaSunner is almost always prioritized in games he uploaded, followed by (in decreasing order of precedence) the game's official soundtrack, the game's sound test, the in-game name, the commonly agreed name, and the ripper's best guess.[1]
Variants[]
- In a small number of rips, this is changed to "Song" for unknown reasons. This may just be an error. On at least 3 rips, it is changed to "Name".
- In "It's a me, Mario!" rips, this is changed to "Text", due to them not being rips of music. This is copied from GilvaSunner.
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, this was changed to "Shanty".
- During the Independence Day of Brazil 2024 event, this was changed to "Música".
Composer:[]
Lists the credit for the original track. This is often just listed as "Composer", even if the person listed isn't technically the composer, though there are many variations which are used to properly credit the creator(s) of the track. In some cases, such as with the Super Smash Bros. franchise, multiple variants will appear simultaneously on a rip to give credits to multiple roles. When submitting a rip, if the composer is not known, the line can be omitted from the submission email.[1]
Variants[]
- In many (but not all) rips where multiple people are listed, this is changed to "Composers".
- During the reboot, this was changed to "Composed by". This is also rarely used in other rips.
- "Arrangement" is usually used to list arranger(s) for the track. "Arranger", "Arrangers", and "Arranged by" are used rarely.
- "Performed by" is usually used to list performer(s) for the track. "Performance" is used rarely.
- In "It's a me, Mario!" rips, this is changed to "Voice", due to them not being rips of music. This is copied from GilvaSunner.
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, this was changed to "Composarrr" (with a varying number of rs). "Arrranged by" and "Parrrformed by" also appeared on a few rips.
- During the Independence Day of Brazil 2024 event, this was changed to "Compositor" (singular) or "Compositores" (plural), with "Arrangement" and "Performed by" also being changed to "Arranjo" and "Executado por" respectively.
- A few rips have used "Composter" instead. The usage of this spelling is probably a typo, but it could also be a reference to the VvvvvaVvvvvvr fan channel, as multiple rips on that channel intentionally use that spelling for the description.
Playlist:[]
Links to a corresponding playlist on the SiIvaGunner channel. This listing is the least prone to changes. When submitting a rip, if the playlist for the game being ripped does not yet exist, the line can be omitted from the submission email.[1]
Variants[]
- In a small number of rips, the link will go somewhere else; e.g. "MEGALOVANIA (Chex Mix) - Undertale" links to the SiIvaGunner2 channel.
- Most rips of Friday Night Funkin' and its mods have this link replaced with a link to the mod files used in the rip.
- An error that appears in a few rips is that the link will go to a video in the playlist with the playlist attached, rather than directly to the playlist.
- Episodes of SilvaGunner: Rebooted and The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis contain two playlists, one for the fake game listed in the title, and one for "SiIvaGunner ~The Story So Far~".
- Rips of "Koopa Kid Castle Clear", "Course Clear", "Fortress Clear", "Player Down", "Game Over", "The Evil King Bowser" and "The Evil King Bowser (Final)" from Super Mario World have this changed to "Complete Playlist". This is copied from GilvaSunner.
- On Game & Wario rips, this is swapped the "Composer" section. This is also copied from GilvaSunner.
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, this was changed to "Treasure Map".
Platform:[]
Lists all the systems that the game could be played on. In most cases, this list excludes re-releases on Virtual Console and the like, opting for only the original release platform(s).[1]
Variants[]
- In many (but not all) rips where multiple platforms are listed, this is changed to "Platforms".
- Rips with a mix name referencing a certain platform usually only list said platform.
- This is completely omitted from rips of movies and TV shows (e.g. The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Persona: Trinity Soul), due to this being the case for Animal Crossing: The Movie on GilvaSunner. The sole exception is Steven Universe where the platform is listed as "TV".
- On rips of Maroon GO plus a handful of other rips, "your blender" is listed as a platform. This is a reference to the video "How To Use Your Blender" by Poliwager.
- During the reboot, this was changed to "Available on".
- During Talk Like a Pirate Day, this was changed to "Planks" (or "Plank" on 5 rips).
- During the Independence Day of Brazil 2024 event, this was changed to "Plataforma".
Please read the channel description.[]
This part of the description, also known as the catchphrase, does not originate from the GilvaSunner (L) channel. Rather, it was introduced on the original GiIvaSunner (i) channel early on, along with an accompanying disclaimer within the channel description, due to accusations of plagiarism when rippers made personal, non-rip uploads of their rips. Ever since then, the phrase has become part of the channel's identity, and a bit of a minor meme in itself, so it is especially prone to changes. Usually, those just pertain to specific rips, but some events (mainly lore-related) will have a new variation of the phrase used for all its rips. This is the only part of the format that is not required to be written in an email rip submission.[1]
Variants[]
"Maximum quality must be achieved."

Others[]
The following are listed rarely in video descriptions and don't fit into any of the above categories.
Copied from GilvaSunner[]
- Game: Rips from [precision needed] list the game being ripped.
- Franchise: Rips from [precision needed] list the franchise the ripped game belongs to.
- Original Game: Since the Super Smash Bros. Brawl soundtrack is mostly comprised of remixes, rips of this game list the source game for the music being remixed. Errors made by GilvaSunner are preserved (for example "Flat Zone 2" rips have the original game listed as Game & Watch Gallery, even though "Flat Zone 2" is original to Super Smash Bros. Brawl).
- Ripped by: The Super Mario 3D Land soundtrack was not ripped by GilvaSunner himself but another YouTuber named NintenDaan, so the descriptions included a link to his channel. In several but not all rips of the game, this is copied but with the channel link being changed to a joke one.
- <Game Name> Music: Rips from 1080° Snowboarding, Game & Wario, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team feature this after the platform section.
SiIvaGunner-specific[]
- Original: Appears in the description of "Field of Hopes and Dreams (PAL Version) - Deltarune". Links to the original "ANTONYMPH" music video by Vylet Pony.
- High Quality Rip: / Ripped by: The rips "Parker Lake - Ultimate Angler / StreetPass Fishing" and "Showdown with the Ultimate Chimera - MOTHER 3" credit their rippers directly due to them being uploaded posthumously as tributes to them.
- [Archived by: MPH] - This appears in the description of several Season 1 and Season 2 videos, mainly on rips of fake games. It indicates that the video is included in the Haltmann's Archives playlist, with "MPH" standing for Max Profitt Haltmann.
