ZUN is a Japanese game developer mostly known for creating the Touhou Project series. He is a competitor in the King for a Day Tournaments. He was selected as a popular fan submission by combining all votes for Touhou characters, and was #6 overall in the ballot.
"With his imperishable love for alcohol, and his influences on his sleeve (along with the rest of his shirt), ZUN is ready to re-enter the tournament! He’s the embodiment of bullet heck with music that spans across the entire bullet hell genre. Anybody who crosses his path better be prepared for a carousel of agony!"
―ZUN's description on the MOJO!!
ZUN returns in the King for Another Day Tournament. He has a new color scheme, and also has a Reimu doll in his pocket. His source list has been expanded to include Touhou fan music and all bullet hell games.
ZUN faced off against Quote and won in Round 1, but lost to Law & Disorder in Round 2. He faced off against Mariya Takeuchi in Round 2 of the Loser's Bracket but lost and got eliminated.

Trivia[]
The reason for his inclusion over a Touhou character in the tournaments is to represent someone specifically related to the series' music, as stated in his King for Another Day interview "Please Wait Warmly".
A Reimu Fumo appears in ZUN's pocket single, a type of small plushies known for their expensive prices and their well-known presence in the Touhou community. It was added in reference to Munchie in Eight's pocket on the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate render of Hero.[1]
ZUN's jacket is based off danmaku patterns from multiple games such as Ikaruga as a way of representing all of bullet-hell games, not just Touhou.
Suika Ibuki's sake bottle can be found with ZUN in both his King for a Day and King for Another Day portraits.
On the geometry of ZUN's portrait, the shape of an apple can be found, alluding to the song "Bad Apple!!"
Three trumpets can also be found in the geometry, referencing ZUN's high usage of the Romantic Trumpet preset (or "ZUNpet" (ZUNペット) as many fans nickname it) in his music.
Clicking on ZUN's artwork in his character bio plays a soundbite from "SKULL TRUMPET", another reference to the abundance of trumpets in his music.
